Psychologist., Psychotherapist, Therapist, provides therapy and counseling to adults
As a Clinical Psychologist (Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Therapist, and Counselor) in Fairfax Virginia 22031, I provide therapy and counseling services to individuals and couples who present concerns including depression, anxiety and worry, poor coping skills, traumatic histories, personality and relationship problems, low self-esteem, stress, loss, job dissatisfaction, and other psychological problems. I also perform psychological evaluations, personality testing, and assessments as part of my clinical psychology practice in Fairfax. I use an integrative approach to therapy that draws from a range of psychological theories, tailoring my therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each individual I work with. My style is an interactive one; rather than listen passively, I am attentive, share insight, make respectful and empathic suggestions, and responsively participate throughout the counseling sessions. In general, you can expect that as your psychologist I will be someone who supports you, listens attentively, models a healthy and positive relationship experience, gives you appropriate feedback, and follows ethical guidelines. I speak in easy-to-understand terms, and provide honest and direct feedback in the most kind and supportive manner possible. As a therapist, I phrase things in a way that you can hear and that makes sense to you. Most people say I am a very down-to-earth and well-grounded counselor. My fees are within the usual and customary standard set for the industry. They compare well with most Clinical Psychologists who have similar education, training, experience, and cultivated expertise that practice Clinical Psychology in the Metropolitan, Washington D.C. area. Fees are charged according to the length of the time spent in session, which is typically 50 minutes. Longer sessions can be scheduled as well. Fees for psychological testing and group therapy are different than individual therapy. It is best to contact me and inquire about my fees when making an initial appointment. Fee schedules will be agreed upon prior to the first appointment.
